Hello friends, this weekend is the defining weekend of all Christians. Sure the birth of Christ is an important and exciting time to celebrate, but the death burial and resurrection is the reason we are Christians. Christ died because "without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness for sin." Sacrifices were to be the best one could give. To sacrifice a lame or imperfect animal was an insult to God. 2000 years ago the perfect sacrifice was made for you and me; Jesus died on the cross. If that had been the end of it life would not matter, but that was not the end. On the third day Jesus conquered death, and rose from the grave. Because of Jesus' death and resurrection, we too can conquer death. How? by confessing with our mouth that Christ is Lord, and believing in our hearts God raised Him from the dead (Rom. 10:9). Friends, sometimes this life seems so hard, but this life is only temporary. There is a way for you to live forever. That way is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ.
