Love in Action

Love is a verb when we understand love as Christians. We are to love others as God has loved us. The word used in 1 John 4: 7-13 is Agape love. Love in this way is the true test of being born of God. The question for us as Christians is, do we pass the test? God knows our heart, and the love we have after salvation is not about appearances, its about love from God's eyes now. For Christians, love is not a suggestion, it is a command. If we don't know love, we can't know God. So what does love look like? Let God be the example. We are pretty unlovable, yet God sent Jesus anyhow. If God had not sent Jesus we would all be destined for Hell. That's something to be thankful for. As Christians, others should see that love in us. Do they? As the church, and I mean all true Christians, we are the demonstration of God's love. When we love, as we are commanded to, God is seen through us; He is not invisible anymore. The only way we can love this way is because of God. We don't have it in us to love this way. Do you have the love of God? Join us Saturday nights at 6:00PM and experience the true love of God!
