I just love reading the Bible. I especially love when I'm reading it and it jumps right out at me and God speaks to me as if He is in the same room; and He always is. Galatians 6:7-8 says, "7 Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap. 8 For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life." Have you ever noticed that you get out of life what you put into it? I'm thankful for my life, but if I want a better quality of life I have to put a little time into it. The same goes for your walk with Jesus. I thank God for His grace, and that I am saved because of it, but we can't stop there. As Christians we will get out of our relationship with Christ what we put into it. You can receive Christ, come to church once a week, and go on about your business and wonder why God doesn't seem more present in your life. But if, when we are saved, we begin to study His Word, attend Bible studies and church, and pray unceasingly (1 Thess. 5:17), you will see a huge difference in your spiritual life. You do reap what you sow! Christian, you want to hear from God? Read His Word! Do you want to understand the Bible better? Get to church and go to the Bible studies available to you! Are you more comfortable in a one on one conversation? Contact a member of the church who is more spiritually mature than you are! You have not, because you ask not (James 4:2)! Whose fault is that?
